Sounds of the night

I went out and recorded sounds of the night on Wednesday, and I now have nine different sounds that range from closing gates, crushing snow, and rocks skidding across the floor of Noyce. Unfortunately I'm not sure how to embed mp3 files into blogger so I will edit this once I figure that out.... 

In the meantime, I'll throw the sounds into Audition and play around with them.

The Night Site

The first project for Site Specific is called The Night.  I decided to pick a site with a cluster of trees on my usual path home.

This site is a little bit outside of Bucksbaum and I pass by it every day.  I'm thinking of creating a sound art piece that gets triggered when someone passes by one of the trees. Each tree can trigger a different sound, and all of the sounds can go off when someone sits on the bench.
